We are part of the Academy Ballroom family, which has been one of the most respected dance studios in the Southeast since 2006. Academy Ballroom Marietta opened to bring championship-level ballroom and Latin dance instruction to the North Atlanta area. We are located on Roswell Road in Marietta and serve dancers from Marietta, Kennesaw, Smyrna, Roswell, East Cobb and surrounding areas.

Our Team
Eddie Ares and Chasity Smith lead both locations in Buckhead and Marietta along with their team of highly trained dance instructors.
Our Instructors
Eddie Ares is a world-ranked ballroom dance champion, choreographer, and coach with over 40 years of experience. He is the founder of the Global Spectrum Circuit of ballroom competitions, co-founder of Atlanta Ballroom Dance Theater, organizer of Hotlanta The Classic, and co-founder of both the SSS Pro/Am Club and Spotlight Dance Videos. Eddie leads both the Atlanta and Marietta locations and sets the standard for instruction across the entire Academy Ballroom organization.
Chasity Smith holds a B.S. in Accounting from the University of Alabama and began her ballroom career in Atlanta after a career in auditing. She trained in Latin dance and within one year became a finalist at the World Pro/Am Dance Championships in Buenos Aires, Argentina. In 2013 she won both the U.S. Pro/Am Rising Star Open Rhythm and the U.S. South American Showdance Championships and took bronze in the U.S. Rising Star Open International Latin Championship. She co-founded Atlanta Ballroom Dance Theater, the SSS Pro/Am Club, and Spotlight Dance Videos, and continues to train and compete today.
